Quest: Costa Rica is centered around a sustainable, organic, family-run farm called Finca Pasiflora, located outside the small town of San Isidro in the central part of the country. "The Finca" has served as a place of both awakening and solitude for Quest students for the past five years and has left its imprint on many hearts. It is a beautifully simple place, where life exists apart from the buildup of countless distractions that so often surround us. Time spent on the Finca affords students the opportunity to soak in the sun, learn about the abundant natural world, work with their hands, contribute to preparing the food that nourishes them, and gather together around topics of discussion that span as broadly as the starry sky above.

Quest: Costa Rica participants will spend the majority of their time on the Finca getting to experience one family's pure and simplified lifestyle in this tropical paradise. Some of the trip's other highlights include:

• The astounding biodiversity of the Costa Rican wetforest
• Daily homecooked meals, many straight from the gardens of the Finca
• Hammocks, hilltops, and plenty of places for reflection and discussion
• Hiking, adventure, and nightlife in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica's premire tourist destination
• Equatorial sun, ocean breezes, and pristine beaches along the Pacific Coast

Pre-Trip Meetings:

Group meetings before departure not only allow participants to become familiar with the issues that are central to their destination, but they also give everyone a chance to get to know their fellow travelers. As these meetings are an integral part of the entire Quest experience, it is important that you are able to commit to attending them. Meetings typically take place about every two weeks before departure, and you will receive more information about these gatherings following your invitation to travel with Quest.

Payment Information:

The posted trip cost is an estimate that includes all air and ground transportation, lodging, activities, and most meals. Fundraising activities can significantly defray the cost of the trip, and many students find at least half of their total trip costs can be covered by participating in Quest's fundraising program. If you are invited to travel on Quest: Costa Rica, a $250 non-refundable deposit will be required within five days of acceptance to secure your spot on the trip.
